For increased patient safety and hygiene
The intended use for strap 1440 is to safely fixate and position the patient’s lower extremity during surgery and under anesthesia on the surgical bed with split legplates – fx. laparoscopic surgery. The thigh strap is led under the legplate of the surgical bed with split legplates and over the lower extremity. The thigh strap must be placed over the middle of the femur, and the thigh strap must be attached and fastened with the Velcro (hook and loop). A separate strap is used for each leg both left and right. When placing and tightening the strap, the medical professional must ensure and take into consideration that sufficient blood circulation to the patient’s lower extremity and knee joint is not overstretched. The thigh strap is only intended for this use and may not be used for other purposes.
